Pearce Traveling CD 2, Talking with Constituents Throughout August

ALBUQUERQUE - The U.S. House of Representatives is on August Recess. During this time period, Congressman Steve Pearce has traveled New Mexico’s Second Congressional District, holding town hall meetings and talking with constituents.

According to an Albuquerque Journal article by Michael Coleman, Congresswoman Michelle Lujan Grisham has held one town hall type meeting this August, as has Congressman Ben Ray Lujan, while Senators Tom Udall and Martin Heinrich have engaged in smaller meetings (see article here: www.abqjournal.com/249152/politics/nm-voters-expec....html). Congressman Pearce has five town hall meetings during the month of August and hosted a women’s forum in Las Cruces last week—along with many roundtables and constituent visits.
"Congressman Steve Pearce always utilizes the month of August to listen to the needs of his constituents and keep them informed on what is happening in D.C.,” said RPNM Chairman John Billingsley."As the New Mexico delegation’s only Republican, we are proud of the work that he continues to do. He is an active and hardworking member of Congress, and we appreciate his dedication to serving New Mexicans.”
"It’s a shame that the rest of the delegation does not follow this example of accountable leadership,” continued Billingsley."We definitely need more leaders like Congressman Pearce.”
