BREGMAN IS UP TO HIS OLD TRICKS

Democratic Party of New Mexico Desperately Reaching and Making False Claims

ALBUQUERQUE -.Democratic Party of New Mexico Chairman Sam Bregman recently released an article on Janice Arnold-Jones, candidate for Albuquerque City Council District 7, that is misleading and dangerously contorts the truth. In the article, Bregman attempts to tie Arnold-Jones to what is happening on the national political scene.
"I think it’s safe to say that everyone is tired of Bregman’s shams,” said RPNM Chairman John Billingsley."It is obvious that he and the Democratic Party are resorting to desperate tactics to win this nonpartisan election. The record must be set straight, because the voters in Albuquerque deserve better than Bregman’s shameless attempts to pry attention away from the real issues. The Albuquerque City Council race cannot be equated to the issues of the national government, and the fact of the matter is that Janice Arnold-Jones is the more qualified candidate for the leadership position for the City of Albuquerque. She has exhibited great leadership for the people of Albuquerque—first in the State House, and recently as a City Councilor—and she has always stood for the needs of her constituents.”
"Bregman’s crooked spin and reaching attempts are laughable, until you consider the sad reality that this is what he hopes to implant in the minds of Albuquerque voters,” continued Billingsley."We are proud of the work that Janice Arnold-Jones did at the State Legislature previously and on Albuquerque’s City Council over the past seven months. We are confident that voters will make the right choice in this runoff election. In fact, in a three candidate race, Janice was only 77 votes shy of going over the 50% mark. That is a reflection of her hard work and her commitment to service the citizens of Albuquerque.”

NEW MEXICO DEMOCRAT LAWMAKERS LEAVE WIPP OUT OF REQUEST

Congressman Pearce Fighting for Pay Protection for Labs and WIPP

ALBUQUERQUE - Today, Congressman Steve Pearce sent a letter to the U.S. Secretary of Energy, requesting that he protect the pay for employees at New Mexico’s labs—both Los Alamos National Labs and Sandia National Labs—and the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP). The Democrats from New Mexico’s Congressional Delegation also sent out a letter, but noticeably missing in this letter was the mention of WIPP.
"The Waste Isolation Pilot Plant near Carlsbad is incredibly important to our state, and I find it alarming that the Democrats did not feel the need to include it in their combined letter,” said RPNM Chairman John Billingsley."Once again, we see Congressman Steve Pearce stepping forward and taking the lead to help prevent damage to communities and to families across New Mexico.”
"Additionally, it is interesting that U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich recently endorsed Democrat Roxanne Lara for Congress in New Mexico’s Second Congressional District, a seat currently held by U.S. Congressman Steve Pearce,” continued Billingsley. "Lara, who is from Carlsbad, is being endorsed by someone who either does not know enough—or does not care enough—about New Mexico to request protection of pay for those at WIPP. WIPP is vital to our state, and we are thankful for the accountable and thorough leadership that Pearce provides and know that he is the clear choice to continue representing our Second Congressional District.”

DEMOCRATS STAY ON A SINKING SHIP

ALBUQUERQUE - Today, portions of the Federal government are shutdown, due to the Senate Democrats’ refusal to find common ground on delaying, limiting, or defunding ObamaCare. Additionally, today, ObamaCare enrollment begins. Republican Party of New Mexico Chairman, John Billingsley, released the following statement regarding today’s events:
"It is a shame to see President Obama and Democrats in the Senate stubbornly stick to implementing something that even they likely know is bad policy. The effects of ObamaCare will be disastrous to our healthcare system and to families across the nation. They clearly showed faulty leadership in making the funding of ObamaCare a priority over funding the Federal government. We commend Republicans in the House of Representatives—and those who stood their ground in the Senate—who fought for the well being of the American public."
"Unfortunately, there will likely be lasting effects of this government shutdown, just as there will be adverse effects from moving forward with a government healthcare takeover. It is time for Democrats in Washington to leave behind their rhetoric, stop hiding behind Party lines, and vote for the good of all Americans.”
